David Evans
David Evans is a visual artist in Kirkland, Washington.
His primary medium is pen and ink on paper. His surrealistic style invites reflection into the mind. David also does photography, capturing and expressing contemplative images found in ordinary life.
David’s artistic journey began as a teenager working in the family custom picture framing business. He has taken many classes and private instruction in drawing and photography. He continues to study and practice developing skills necessary to express his vision for art as a gateway into the mind.
Most recently, David’s work has been displayed at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland as part of the 2025 Winter Show of Small Works and Miniatures.
For many years, David’s professional career was not in art. Yet, his heart relied on drawing, photography, and other modes of creative expression as an extension of ways of being in the corporate world.
David is a formally trained meditation instructor and has been teaching since 2014. He hosted a practice group in Maryland before moving West in 2020. His creative expression arises from the relationship with his mind.
